on a warm summer day we met robby, tito, and logan to record a live music video in their studio. featuring two previously released songs and an unreleased single titled beneath the steps. live at dogtown captures the first high quality audio / video of the current iteration of cloudlight as a four-piece band.

before the session, we spoke in depth with the man behind Dogtown Studio, robby fischer, about how the live studio sessions are a community service provided to counteract the capitalism that so often rules over the music industry, which in turn creates an environment that often stifles creativity and individualism in the scene. the diy / do it together spirit that lives at the heart of this studio is something we greatly respect and value as a part of our music community in west michigan.

as a band and as individuals we each strive to be a part of the diy music scene in our own way to raise up the voices of the artists, spaces, and communities we love, participate in creative (musical or otherwise) conversations, as well as provide enriching and inclusive platforms for artists to share their stories.
